LOL! We get asked our opinion but it's wrong because we are from the US, where capitalism reigns supreme. It's not gouging if people will pay it. Yes, some lose out but it's NO DIFFERENT than campsite prices in a highly sought after destination, some of which do not have multiple campground options. They are going to be substantially higher than an area that's not as popular and/or has more available sites. And really, this concept is no different than seasonal pricing-they can charge more for the same campsite because more people are going to want it. It's the most basic of economic laws-supply and demand, period.
