I know what you are going through. Go for a drive, practice in a parking lot. You will improve with time. I know then my rear trailer wheels get about mid span of the parking spot I can begin my turn to back in. My wife & I use our cell phones to communicate and I get her to give me specifics like A fot more to driver side or back three feet. You are, for sure, not the only ones learning this so just have fun with it and practice. Best of luck to you both. In fact my wife is, perhaps, a better backer upper than I am truth be told.
