Thanks James, great video.
... and sometimes the RV sits unused for a few weeks. I'm thinking, the cleaner, the better as far as odor control.
That's my main interest in these experiments. When we're out using the rig, honestly, I just dump & go. (Well, I do dump the black first, then the grey.) It's when I get home and she sits for a while that I want the tank to be a bit cleaner.
Question for those of you using a 3rd blade... I understand how that's supposed to work, but how do you keep water and other "material" from the black tank from backwashing into your grey tank? Do you install some kind of one way valve on the grey tank? Or do you only keep that open for a couple seconds? Just curious.
I would agree that the 3rd blade would actually contaminate the grey tank with black water! To me that is a bad system, that and I use the system of Black 1st using fixed head rinser, next is the galley tank, and last is the Gray (shower and bathroom sink only). This leaves the stinky slinky clean no rinsing needed.
I never thought to even try the hose connection on the clear elbo as my black and grey lines have THREE 90 degree bends to the hose connection, along with a 6" rise.
I think it is real clear that a in-tank flusher does a superior job to any "Back Flush" system.
