Question for those of you using a 3rd blade... I understand how that's supposed to work, but how do you keep water and other "material" from the black tank from backwashing into your grey tank? Do you install some kind of one way valve on the grey tank? Or do you only keep that open for a couple seconds? Just curious.
As long as the level in the black is lower than the level in the grey the flow goes from grey to black. With a full grey tank 20 - 30 seconds isn't long enough to make the levels equal. Also, you can hear the fluid flowing. If it stops flowing close the grey blade because you waited too long.
So the procedure is: empty black. Open grey, close 3rd, count to 20 (I don't think I wait to 30), close grey, open 3rd. Repeat once or twice. Empty the last of the grey to rinse the sewer hose. Then I go inside and flush to clean the sensors. For some reason flushing the toilet hits the sensors in my rv.
