We recently started advertising a Winnebago motorhome we have for sale. Immediately, we are bombarded with calls from firms claiming they can market our motorhome until sold by advertising, financing offers, insuring offers, etc. for a fee, of course. Has anyone dealt with these type firms and was your experience a positive result or a lot of empty promises. I am not opposed to the idea but there are so many I do not know how to choose. Any input you have will be appreciated.

Ugh, I would avoid those. Craigslist is still free!I haven't had too many positive experiences with any of those marketing firms, and some of them are very bad in terms of getting your money back if you don't sell your vehicle through them.I had the same experience with those types of firms calling me every day when we were selling our 40' destination trailer. After I asked them multiple times to stop calling, they'd still call! Only way to get rid of them is to take the craigslist ad down as soon as it's sold.

Depends 'where' you are advertising also. Most on line sites do NOT protect your info and in fact the minute you type it in they are selling it to these low life's.Craigslist hides your phone number so the robo's can't get at it. Reputable RV clubs sites will also keep your numbers private and don't sell your info.Do not post your phone number in an online ad in the conventional way so robo's can grab it. Post it something like this. 262XX555>>two two one six Pick your advertising sites wisely.And if you don't want them calling sometimes something as simply putting that within the body of your ad. Won't stop scammers/robo's necessarily but it does stop the majority of them. Something like these.do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offersNO dealers pleaseGood luck hope you sell your RV! :C

I sold my fleetwood tioga on Craigslist without any issues. I never gave my number. Told them if they were interested, to respond to the ad and include their phone number. Said I'd cAll and we could schedule a meet at the Sherrie's complex parking lot. I called them. Never had one marketing call. It was sold the next night. I had inquiries from Texas as well as all the way up to Albuquerque.

With CL also be careful of scams. We sold our pop up ourselves and listed it on CL. Got the same thing you are having plus a couple of obvious scams. Ended up using RV Trader and sold it in under a month.

There is nothing these places can do for you that you can't do on your own. If they post it online it will be to same places you can access. They will charge you upfront and take the money and run..
