Probabyl wish you would of caught before the manufacturer warranty went out. If it is still under warranty, take it back and have them fix. Not normal to see light with the slides in..
If you are running down the road in a rainstorm, water can be kicked back up off the road and it will find its way through those holes. Since the holes are at the bottom, the rain is running off past it while it's stitting still.
