We are here in the Mohave. It almost sees the sand is quick sand.I have some large sections of 2"x12" for jacl pads but haven't put them under the jacks. Figured the sand etc was good enough.We hada lot of rain last night and the jacks sunk more than usual.Several RV Dealers around but all they have are those orange waffle like pads with solid on one side. Totally inadequate and have destroyed a couple sets of them over the years. Still have four in the compartment, for some reason.I don't feel like driving hundreds of miles knowing I'm not going to find any better.Cutting boards seems reasonable idea if I can find some thick enough.38,000 lbs. Anyone found some really substantial tough not brittle plastic cutting boars at a Dollar store, Wal Mart or some place like that or any optionsat home Depot etc???

Why not use the orange waffle pads until they break? They should tide you over for a while.

I was in Miss on the gulf shore and needed something. I went to a job site that had some engineered wood beams holding up a new house. I got two pieces of "scrap" 4" X 12" X 14" long. They said take what you want but I only took the two. They work fine when I need them.

That’s what sand does if it gets super saturated. What’s wrong with the 2x12s? Cut them into 1-2’ lengths? Double them up? Cut up some 3/4 plywood? Double it up?You’re leveling a 38klb rig presumably? Can’t think of a large enough stack or cutting boards to be rigid enough. Lumber is your easiest, cheapest, bestest option here, imo. How big a surface area are the moho jacks? Like 6” diameter? 12”x12” will reduce the ground pressure to less than 25% of 6”

We have used chunks of 4X4 cut to the appropriate size. Tried other wood chunks and they always cracked and broke.
