Jeeps are good vehicles to tow. What kind of auxilliary brake system will you be using?

I pull a 2012 Patriot Manual transmission Jeep... about 10,000 miles now works great for me. Having a clutch again is kinda nice as long as I am not in city traffic..it has a hill holding feature that gives you a second or so to move your foot from the brake to gas without rolling back. Very pleased with my choice. 2012 does not have the streeting wheel lock.

That is why I bought a Liberty. Just tired of driving a stick. ( retired truck driver). But I understand you use what ya got.

Long established fact that a Compass with manual tranny tows flat. No suprise here.

I would just keep a copy of the letter from your Customer Assistance Center with you on your travels. Gary

Don't know if you can tow it or not but the locked steering wheel is easy to fix. I pulled the switch out of my Jeep and removed the lock. It was a very easy mod that took about two hours. Now I just remove the key and go. Best thing I ever did.

In my years of being around RV'ers who tow, the manual has always been right and those that choose to not follow the manual ended up in trouble. Just saying. Would hate to see any thing major happen to your car.
