Jeep Liberty

Sorry about the Liberty subject line. I was reading about the different vehicles that can be towed 4 wheels down and the Liberty snuck in. I was wondering about the Patriot and the manual transmission. I called the dealership and they told me that the manual as well as the automatic can't be towed 4 wheels. I was inquiring about a 2014 model.
I have a dolly but would prefer to tow 4 down and the Patriot seemed to be a decent choice. We live in Colorado and 4 wheel drive is nice for winter and off road travel.

The 2014 FMCA Towing guide lists only the manual front wheel drive and the manual 4 wheel drive Patriot being towable 4 down.
The Liberty is not listed.

You might want to change your Subject Line...it says Liberty.

So what is it Liberty or Patriot?

The Patriot can be towed 4 down if it has a Manual transmission, the auto is not towable 4 down.
