Jeep toad rides to rough.

Not much one can do. If your not off roading, street tires might help. Softer shocks, maybe adjustable.

I had two Jeeps, liked them, seldom went off road, went with Honda CRV s and finally Element..

Riding too rough may be helped by airing down the tires a bit.

Key words are "a bit".

You should NOT go below the original recommended pressure more than a couple of pounds though......and not likely that will make much difference. The recommended pressure is what is on the placard inside the door jamb or in the owners manual; NOT what it says on the sidewall of the tire.

Also, if the tires are original equipment, they are 12 years old now and probably are getting HARD just from age......and probably were stiff to start with.

It is generally accepted that tires should not be used after about 7 or 8 years and become dangerous after 10. Highway tires, that is.

I believe airing down as 2oldman suggests might help.

Do you a hard or soft top? You can get a lot of different spring options for that. You might want to consider some different shocks, how many miles on it? I have an 06 lj rubicon also

Don't air down the tires too much. They can overheat while going down the road.

And that's why we tow a Jeep Grand Cherokee with QuadraLift and QuadraTrac II. Maybe I can't do the extreme rocks but it does quite well on the trails I want to ride.

Not all Jeeps ride the same. And not all Jeeps are Wranglers.

Rancho makes an adjustable shock (RS9000 XL) with nine (9) settings. I've been researching small lifts for about a year now for my 2010 JKUR. From everything I've read the Rancho shocks are really top notch. Maybe it will work in your case. On a side note I have a 96 Ford F250 4x4. Rode like an absolute beast, awful. Felt like the fillings would fall out of my teeth on some bumps. I installed some Bilstein shocks 2 months ago and it made a WORLD of difference. Bilsteins for a Jeep may be a bit too rough though.

Point I'm trying to make is that the proper shock for your vehicle is VERY important to ride comfort.
