Driving a Jeep on flat, relatively smooth highways is ok.
Try secondary and tertiary, potholed, rough roads used for farming, the kind we like to explore, and four hours will change your opinion.
So... what would you drive on those potholed, rough roads to give a smooth ride?
When you do on roads/trails that Jeeps can go you can expect some rough riding. We had terrific fun out West with ours and a 'bumpy ride' never entered our thoughts.
Moab, UT and Silverton, CO are the BEST!!
Have you ever done the Rubicon trail?
We passed by while circling Lake Tahoe, but DW didn't want to give it a go and we were a long way from the campground, for then going back alone. Wasn't eve sure if it could be done in a stock Jeep and without tearing something up.
