after just finishing our FL home state camping season with a 16 day trip to 4 state parks the dw and I noted 2 things 1. totally surprised at the number of very long trailers (like 30') being pulled...

We were at Rock Crusher Canyon in FL. 2 weeks ago and a lot of the campers were snow birds so long term set up on sites. Most were decked out with all sorts of lighting from fake palm trees to outlining the whole darn camp site, even up all the trees. I think its a show off thing. Look at me! Like the competition thing with Christmas lights. I don't really get it either. At other places we have had more than one trailer keep its panic lights on all night. Is it that they just forget? or do they think that's what you are supposed to do?
On our latest trip I also noted the SUV's pulling rather big trailers too. Trailers are getting lighter and all but I saw some that were obviously overloaded. I can't imagine the towing experience they had......and think its normal. Scary.
