Add two more to your list of those who wonder what happened to the night. Our new to us coach has a porch light and I will be converting the bright LED panel to a red panel and the courtesy light in the entry stairs to amber. I guess folks that have to decorate and light up their campsite are sort of like us using our bathroom and stove. We paid a lot of money for the convenience of having our home with us when we travel, they paid a lot to have electricity and they use it. Fortunately we haven't been exposed to their bright lights and organ music as we called it back in the '50s very often and we gain no comfort from it when we are exposed. There is more to see when outdoors that you neighbors 26 million color LED light strips and rope lights and b&tt ugly bucket lights. And purple for heavens sake.
We have had the good fortune to spend some time in Amazonia where escaping artificial lighting is just a few hours down stream and a mile long hike to a lake with no visible light sources or as I have, been on the topside of a submarine sail along side the Arctic icecap where the only visible light source is the luminesce features of our watches. Experiences like that are wonderful and awe expiring.
