I understand that it isn't an option for everyone, but doing a bit of homework and finding the right place is key.
We are currently in a park in N. FL in the middle of a live oak and mixed deciduous forest. With the Spanish moss draped trees behind us it looks like a fairyland. With the exception of the once daily train 1/4 mile away, it is so quiet we can actually hear the propane running through our crossover.
There are 52 sites here, only about 22 occupied this time of year. Although it's not a "rule", there is an unofficial understanding that no one makes disturbing noise or burns obtrusive lights. The squirrels and birds pay no heed. In fact, no one has outside lights on at all. On a clear night, the Milky Way is clearly visible. Gotta' love it.
And no, don't even ask, I'm not telling where we are. Do your own homework! :)
