BACON.
Stop cooking BACON at campgrounds.
I had BACON at 7:00 when I cooked breakfast, I do not need to smell it again at 10:00 when you finally get around to cooking breakfast.
Doc said I should watch my salt intact... I forced myself to put a couple pieces from that pound of BACON into the fridge for later use and now YOU are forcing me to include BACON with my lunch (11:00) because you can't keep the smell of BACON to your own site.
More to the OP's point.
As a kid we slept 8 in a pup. 2 each bed & 2 each table(double table). That trailer was basically two tent ends & two tables. A place to sleep and eat. All our **** was in the back of the station wagon.
Now...everyone needs their space, their plug-ins, etc...
As a kid people went CAMPING even if by trailer. It was an opportunity to be in nature, play in the dirt, eat a smoky cooked meal, go to bed tired.
NOW...roughing it means the wifi has a week signal.
MY POINT. If you want the old timer "camping" feel. Stay out of RV resorts. Camp grounds promote the "we have everything to keep you busy" business model. Do you really expect a quiet place to commune with nature????
Gotta go. Dinner time. I think I want something with BACON
