just 2 observations
after just finishing our FL home state camping season with a 16 day trip to 4 state parks the dw and I noted 2 things 1. totally surprised at the number of very long trailers (like 30') being pulled...

Uh,,, I may be wrong,, but most of the squinty eyed complainers are also showing up in 30 foot plus long fifth wheels,, full living rooms, kitchens with fire places..
My point,, If I wanted it dark, and I wanted it rustic, I would show up some where in the mountains with a TENT!!
Most camp grounds have street lighting, Cell phone reception, TV reception and Satellite reception,, Yet I do not get squinty eyes because I am surfing Direct TV and posting my status on Facebook!!
But I become the odd man out because I bring my technology outside??

I plug my trailer into 30 amp service and connect to city water,, I decorate my occasion with Blue or white accent lighting and I become "That GUY"??
If you are tent camping and the couple next to you in a tent,,,start playing loud music and stringing up bright lights all over powered from portable batteries and just color outside the box,,, Yeah you have a reason to frown,,, But we all show up in portable cabins with all the comforts of a hotel room or house,, And I celebrate by hanging some awning lights or perimeter lighting..
Your fighting the wrong battle,,, Get a TENT and GO TENTING!!
When I show up with my HOBBY and investment,,, I am Lighting it up so you can also enjoy what I got!!!

Oh yeah,, and I always smoke some large cut of meat,, so Hope the wind is in your favor!!!
