Wow. One of our favorite things to do when in a large campground is drive around in the (electric) golf cart around dusk and check out everyones sites, their lights, their tiki torches, their decorations, the whole deal. It's great to see everyone's individual style and flair. It's great to see families smiling and having fun. Playing cornhole? Cool, what kind of boards do you have? Favorite team perhaps? What a conversation starter. Mine are harley amd yeah, I built them myself. Whether basking in the glow of a campfire, a bucket light, or a 32in flat screen watching satellite, who cares! There are nights all three have lit up my site.
We have had more conversations started at campgrounds about our bucket light (with color changing dimable remote controlled bulb) or our lighted family name sign I built with an old style edison 40 w bulb and dusk/dawn auto sensor.
We love to see everyone's style. We like it when ours strikes up conversation. A bunch of unique families enjoying time together. THAT is what makes a community.
For those that get frustrated when people rent a site with power and then have the nerve to use it, as said, tents are great and backpacks have come a long way.
Strap one on and take a hike.
EXACTLY!! Well said!! Finally there's some one else out there that GETS IT!!
