Here is a cool video. Love how the 5vers drive under the bridge, rake the ACs off the roof and keep on driving seemingly clueless. LOL
Low bridge
I'm surprised that bridge is still there some of those are quite hard. - billkaufmannExplorer

My problem was that low branch didn't have a clearance indicator on it. I broke the shower skylight :(
x2 - Jim_ShoeExplorerI've driven through a few tunnels that post a clearance, but that's in the center of the tunnel, not along the curved sides.

I'll bet the tax payers appreciate that little "oops!"
Keep reminded of your RV height! Put it right in your signature block. Every time you check one of your own posts, you'll be reminded! Works for me!
I also have it posted on my rear view mirror. - wbrown62ExplorerHere is a cool video. Love how the 5vers drive under the bridge, rake the ACs off the roof and keep on driving seemingly clueless. LOL
Low bridge - Dave_H_MExplorer III can see it now. The driver gets a promotion and is on the fast track to become Chief. :B
- noe-placeExplorerThat's why they call them accidents.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIIf the ladder truck is 11' and the overhead is 11' then the driver needs to go around....period.
A 5/16' fluted dowel will fit into a 5/16" hole...but you have to tap it in.
Guess the ladder truck driver was just tapping it in :S - jake2250ExplorerUmmmmmm,,,, The ladder truck is 11',,, the clearance is 11'..... NOT gonna fit!!
Didn't fit!!!
maybe an easy fix,, But will they fix it for free??
Although,,they might want to sue the manufacturer for miss labeling the Ladder truck!! Looks to be 11'6",, but that may just be the camera angle!!!
Ladder trucks/ quints,,,( ladder+pump+tank+hose=quint) just a rough estimate,, bare bones is in the neighbor hood of $800K to over a million dollars out the door,,,, equip it with everything a truck and pumper (quint) would carry,,,,,,,,,,SMASH it into a bridge,, and now it isn't worth anything,,,, gonna be at least SIX months to get it back into service,, Ladder alone has gotta be over $100 grand to replace!!
Hope no frame damage, or firefighters injured!!!
Oh,,, who pays to have the bridge inspected and repaired????
Yep,, you guessed it!!! US!!!
No excuse!!! ARRIVE ALIVE!!! Know what the hell you are doing before you get behind the wheel!! - bassinExplorerThe ladder truck is 11' I work building that brand. The problem comes from when the road way is resurfaced someone didn't remeasure the overhead clearance. The truck we be an easy fix .
