- G7ARYMExplorerFor 6 years I never checked which parks are in their system. It turns out a favorite Indian casino RV park near wineries which we have visited 4 or 5 times per year takes PA. Even with a Sun to Thur restriction our 3 day stay last month beginning on a Sat saved $48. That gives us $48 more to spend on wine. I am happy.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIIf you can be flexible in your travels it's well worth the cost. It'll pay for itself fast. We've used it for 17 years! We rarely stay at RV parks - prefer public parks - but if we must, we'll seek out a Passport park.
- CincyGusExplorer IIChekc their availability map. If there are campgrounds where you will be camping, you can usually save the money back in a couple 3-4 day trips. Availability of campgrounds in some area's is the only shortfall I have seen with it. Have been a member for 3 years and always got my money back in savings plus a bunch. Usually saves me about $50-$100 a year but I do look for member campgrounds when booking trips. Usually about 75% of my trips are PPA.
- Dog_FolksExplorerIn 7 years of membership we have always saved the cost of same very easily.
It is the ONLY campground membership we keep. - knshookExplorerWe were charged 49.00 for first time membership.....no GS discount or extra 3 months. Just putting that out there for anyone else reading the posts who isn't familiar with PA.
- knshookExplorerThanks for feedback.....purchased it recently. We received directory but was advised that "due to technical problems" ? they couldn't send us a membership card. We received a piece of paper with our name, membership number printed on it -advising us to cut out and use in place of card. Seemed a bit tacky so we were just curious about program. Very helpful comments!

Any feedback re: Passport America? Thanks in advance.
If you do decide to join you can call them direct and still get GS deal. CW will get you your member card in 6 weeks. Call direct and get it in 3 to 5 days. First ime members $39.95 plus get an extra 3 months free. They also give you your number over the phone so you can use it immediately. Check out GS/PPA app if you have android. - TripalotExplorerWe have belonged for over 10 years and always find it very beneficial. We will not go out of our way to stay at a park for 1 night but I always look to see what is in the area we are going to or on our route. This year alone we have saved almost $600 and it is only the beginning of August.
Before any trip I go on line and check the P.A. site for updates as to parks not participating or new parks that are not in the directory. Several new parks have been added to the system recently. - hersheyExplorerIf you travel by RV as little as a week, it will more than pay for itself in savings. Of course there are black out places and dates but campgrounds find Passport America a blessing in the slow season...filling spaces that might not get filled at all.
It would be hard to lose if you stay in commercial campgrounds. If all your camping is Federal/State type campgrounds then it would be of no value. For that the Golden Age is a definite asset....for as long as its continues to be in existence. Rumor has it that it may be on its way out. - NCWriterExplorerRVing friends recommended it and I'm glad we joined in the past year. Definitely paid for itself the first time we used it, so everything is gravy from now on until time to renew. I've been surprised a few times by picking out a place that sounded good in the location I wanted, would have booked there anyway - then realizing it was a PA park. So we will renew for sure.
