I'm too big so all of me fitting inside where compartment door could be closed isn't an issue.
Most adults would be able to open slam latch from inside
Some adults.kids would probably not be able to figure out how to open
ALL should be able to kick.scream.holler to draw attention unless out in the bonnies.
Then the question becomes....who left the kids alone :H
While checking those compartment doors latches...might want to give a thought to those assist handles that fold across entry door ....can yours door be opened with it across door.
