Just read a thread on camping etiquette and dogs

Not the LEAST bit unusual (except for the picking it up part). It's a REALLY bad practice to try and STOP a dog from relieving himself outdoors and this OFTEN happens when the "prescribed area" is some distance away. When I walk my dog she is pretty sure this is the time she's supposed to take care of that kind of business and she does. Congratulations for picking it up as only about half will do so.
