We bought our RV so that we would be able to travel with our dogs. We realize that not everyone loves our dogs the way we do and that having them is a privilege, not a right. So we do the best we can to be responsible. We ALWAYS pick up their poop. We keep them leashed. We don't let them pee on lawns that will obviously be used by people or any place that is marked "no dogs". We don't let them bark.
I think the OP is right on target.
Not everyone likes everyone elses dogs, cats, kids, X____X. You just do the best you can.
