I suspect that, like most of us, you've never approached your own home town or state as a tourist attraction. Because we live here, we can go any time, we just never do. I've lived in Cincinnati all my life (67 yrs) and there are sights I've never seen and things I've never done right here in this city. Just Google "(state name/city name) tourism". I created a tab for each state and refer to it when planning any trip.
