Yes maybe some are having issues with the K&N, but my current system was built by Banks, the filter sits lower than the sensor and sensor sits back away from filter so no oil gets on sensor, also I check my filter often and reoil when dry, also my air intake tube is clean, no dust of any sort, also to much oil on filter will cause problems, K&N is not the kind of filter that you just install and forget, it needs supervision unlike the paper filters that to have there issues, K&N may not be the best but its also not the worse.
