Congrats on your first dry camping trip. The ice suggestion is something I use when camping, and I also stick a small fan (Valterra Fridge Fan), one in the fridge, one in the freezer, and if possible, have it underneath, blowing upwards onto the frozen bottles or cold packs.
Since the freezer seems to do a good job cooling, I rotate a set of ice packs between the freezer and fridge, which provides an adequate cold sink and keeps everything at a usable temperature in the fridge.
