KEEPING SEWER HOSE OFF THE GROUND

Not sure why everyone is leaving there hoses sitting out after dumping, unless you are seasonal, after I dump, I put the hose in my bin....also my wife and I go 5-7 days before needing to dump and always dump both Grey and Black at the same time....I really don't think those parks are referring to me the way I do it, Hook it up, Dump, put it away...5 minutes DONE.....Guess what, "AIR TIGHT" not happening unless I use fittings Schedule 40 and some glue.....

Have not run into to this we have camped at 10 different campgrounds on the Oregon coast over the past 2 winters for a total of 65 days so I had ample time to get caught if it was a law

Difference is. Once I get mine setup / laying in the pipe support. Which BTW takes less time than it does to type this. all I have to do it dump it. It drains it self. I don't have to carefully raise one end, and walk it to the in ground sewer connection. And as I dump the grey once a day, and the black every 2 days. It saves me a lot of time, and bending over. Which I don't do so well any more.
And I got to be honest. they look pretty trashy laying on the ground

I know this won't work for everyone but I've pretty much got rid of all my dump paraphernalia. I work on the tanks, when they're full I get out the hose dump, then put it away. This is tied to my touring type of camping combined with lots of dry camping.

Why is the hose sitting on the ground (un-attended) with anything in it? Valves closed and hose drained while sitting and waiting for the next dumping.

You got it. Many gravel sited RV parks in southern AZ and TX have this rule in place and precisely for that reason. The cradles don't have sharp edges, most gravel does.

So let me see if I got this right. There are a couple of scenarios here:

1. My stinky slinky is going to get so hot that it is almost guaranteed to gets a hole in it by merely laying on gravel; and that the hole is "so big" it creates more than just a damp spot on the ground (cleanup on lot 3). – My, That is some kind of Heat! How come the pressure from laying on the little cradle bars doesn’t put a hole in it?

2. There is such a difference in elevation between the ground and the outlet connection that what comes in at one end of the stinky slinky no longer comes out the other and it builds up so much pressure it bursts the connections spraying fecal matter all over the place. At 0.5 psi per foot that’s like what, about 200-feet off the ground? You’re going to need a ladder to hook up to the outlet.

Anyone want to buy a bridge?

Maybe someone owns stock in Camco and their sidewinder. Have never seen the rule but I use the sidewinder as it makes it easier to dump. When I don't use one I usually have to lift the hose to help it drain.
