I bought 110 acres over 20 years ago. I take our RV there once a year. It is quite a drive, but well worth it. As we get older, we will spend more time there during the summers. I have two RVs, one 34' Avion trailer and a C-11 Avion camper. I wouldn't sell either one because I don't want to stay in the same location all the time. There is something really nice about the solitude of being away from noisy folks.
Keep in mind, not everyone in rural areas are going to be nice. You have bad folks in rural areas, just like urban areas. You just don't have as many of them. LOL Crime exists everywhere, so you need to be careful wherever you go.
