We are fulltime and we do not make reservations. At first we planned the entire route to our destination and campgrounds we wanted to stay at. We not plan from one stop to the next. We have a general ides of direction and route, but nothing is set in stone. We stop when we feel like it.
Do you just travel from one campground to another until you find a site? - Us_out_WestExplorerWe keep track by;
1. Putting in our Google Calendar minimal info about where we will be.
2. If CG sent you an email confirmation print it out then print it out and scan it into our Neat Scanner where we have folders for such things.
3. If you do not get an email confirm then we scan the receipt on check in and then scan into Neat Desk under a folder called CG Receipts which then you can print out a Report for that folder.
You can either do this on the road or when you get home. - Fred_n_JoExplorerI plan and manage our travels in great detail, as a retired engineer that is what I do. I produce a booklet for my wife/navigator with information relative for each trip as follows.
Page one is a calendar of our total trip with travel days showing the city of destination and estimated travel times. After 14 years of similar travels we are good at that estimation. The picture on that calendar is a map created with MS Streets and Trips of the total route. I use Calendar creator for that print out.
Page two is a full page print of the first days travel map with turn by turn directions on the back. This is totally created in and printed from MS Streets and Trips.
The next page is a print of a web search in Trailer Life directory for that night's campground information. That information includes the campground access directions and the contact telephone number in case of a need to call during travel. When we have reservations the next page is a print of the email reservation reply that includes any confirmation numbers.
Next is a print of the Google Earth view of the campground where I have found Longitude and latitude information to put into our gps system.
If there are any predetermined special activities to be enjoyed at that location that information is printed and included.
The above, day trip information, is repeated for each travel day until our return home. All of this information for the whole trip is clipped together for her use while we are on our way. - TyroneandGladysExplorerWe have a three ring binder and each destination has its own plastic sleeve protector. In there is a print out from Google maps with directions and map any stops we might make that day while driving and reservations.

- DougEExplorerI print out confirmations and put them on a clipboard in the order I will reach them. I include driving directions for each long day as well.
- Dick_BExplorerX2 on the Excel spreadsheet and I am NOT an accountant.
- hitchupExplorerPersonally, I hate Outlook. But I do write notes in my iPhone on which RVParks address and phone #'s to plug into next for our GPS.
When we went full time, I started out with a hard cover spiral notebook to track all the RV Parks and destinations. Which I still use. Then I can know where we were, how much we paid, what project he worked on, what radio station comes in - tee hee. Makes it handy when we return to an area. I star those that were nice and note which ones we'll never return to.
Don't keep track of how much we spent on food or fuel or track the times anymore. Used to use a spiral notebook back in the 80-90's that I would jot everything down as we spent it. - rfryerExplorerIf you’re talking about recording your trip, I just use a tape recorder and transfer the info to my computer when I get back. So I have all times, routes, costs, etc. on Word and Excel. I don’t do reservations or schedules when I travel, but if I did I’d probably use Calendar on my laptop or record it on Excel and print it out.
- bigblueokExplorerGood Ideas will check out Microsoft Outlook too. Thanks
