I plan and manage our travels in great detail, as a retired engineer that is what I do. I produce a booklet for my wife/navigator with information relative for each trip as follows.
Page one is a calendar of our total trip with travel days showing the city of destination and estimated travel times. After 14 years of similar travels we are good at that estimation. The picture on that calendar is a map created with MS Streets and Trips of the total route. I use Calendar creator for that print out.
Page two is a full page print of the first days travel map with turn by turn directions on the back. This is totally created in and printed from MS Streets and Trips.
The next page is a print of a web search in Trailer Life directory for that night's campground information. That information includes the campground access directions and the contact telephone number in case of a need to call during travel. When we have reservations the next page is a print of the email reservation reply that includes any confirmation numbers.
Next is a print of the Google Earth view of the campground where I have found Longitude and latitude information to put into our gps system.
If there are any predetermined special activities to be enjoyed at that location that information is printed and included.
The above, day trip information, is repeated for each travel day until our return home. All of this information for the whole trip is clipped together for her use while we are on our way.
