- csamayfield55xExplorerWE have a K250 for the trailer. Works AWESOME!! only downfall for me is it has a 14 ounce limit with the bigger carafe cup reusable basket. My K525 has a 16 which is nice.
Yes it is a power hog, it is even a bit bigger than a percolator. Difference is I can have my coffee done in 2 minutes start to finish and not wait for water to heat.
You can get most of the water out. It takes a little patience but it is doable. WE just run a descale at the first of our season then get as much water out as we can when we put it up.
Been going 2 years and all good so far
Chris - LI-CamperExplorerI have a Keurig-like coffeemaker I bought on Amazon. It is an Aicok. It cost $37. It uses 800 watts so is inverter friendly. It stores easily in my pantry and there is no need to drain it between uses. Makes a hot cup of coffee and is simple to use. I have used it for the last year and am pleased so far.
- gmctoymanExplorerThis, like most things, is a personal choice. The OP asked for recommendations on a Keurig coffee maker, I guess that also includes generic Keurig types. Don't believe he really gives a **** what you think of the concept.
We use a full size original, takes a little more space, but not an issue for us, now. Also, on power usage, it takes a lot for a short period. I have a MyJo for our small rig, haven't tried it yet. - dcmac214ExplorerDon't do it! We went back to a drip brewer when our Keurig died just before Christmas and won't ever go back to that crappy one cup at a time concept. If it's single cups only you want there are several excellent one cup drip brewers available.
- JimK-NYExplorer IIA funnel and filter system works real well for larger batches also. You just need a bigger Melitta filter.

Convenience. There is little cleanup and a variety of different blends can be easily stored.
Can someone explain the appeal of K cups? There are all sorts of one cup filter or coffee press systems that allow you endless choices of coffee at a low price. They all work just about as fast as a K cup system and do not require electricity.
Downside: They are, typically, energy hogs and the individual serving cups are expensive. If you want more than one cup, repeat the coffee making process.
Until I get to the point where I have to have beans out of a rodents ass from Java, I'll use my simpler methods, percolator for large batches and a funnel with coffee filter for smaller batch. I've also drank a fair amount of cowboy coffee---pour ground beans in a pot of hot water, steep, pour in 1/2 cup of cold water to sink the grounds. - bigred1cavExplorerWe use large Kurig and a carafe that uses the large pods K Kups are just more convenient we will use a brewer when many people are near. French Press I tired it just seemed like a gimmick to me.
- RockyMtExplorer IINo mess, take out kupps and throw away.

It's simply a preference thing. For the coffee snobs, the Kureg is probably not good enough. Thank goodness I'm not one of them.
Dan - paddykernahanExplorerI use a French press.
Takes up less space.
No electricity required (we dry camp most of time)
Better coffee.
