- JimK-NYExplorer IIThere we go...heat the water on the stove and pour it through a filter or even a substitute K cup system. I will never understand why so many people insist on living in an RV exactly the same way they live in a house. A few minor changes can make a huge difference. I feel so happy I have a wife that agrees. We don't need hookups. We don't need 6 batteries, an inverter and a massive solar system. We don't need to fire up a generator for every meal. We don't even need a massive big rig. Spend a little time and thought about what you need and make some minor compromises and you can get by with much less. That is a good way to live in an RV and also at home.

Similarly, some arsehat will pipe in with an off-topic remark criticizing those who suggest alternatives for the root purpose - making coffee.
On any forum, any, when a person asks a specific question about Keurig machines you can bet your life some smug popinjays will go on about how they make coffee a better way, how K coffee isn't real coffee and other such nonsense. It's amusing. - RustycamperpantExplorer

I take along the K15 small and stores easily, when I am with out power I use One of these just heat the water on the stove and you have your Kureg coffee, they both work on the K Cups and the refillable ones.
I have the K15 also and I love it! - MrWizardModeratormfox20
enjoy your coffee
BUT you have a problem
heavy overnight use ?
aging batteries ?
something
with four batteries you should be able to brew a pot of coffee
my drip coffee maker can make a full pot in morning
your inverter is shutting down from low voltage
there is a reason for it
but you have a solution using the 'K' machine - RedRocket204Explorer

the DW doesn't drink coffee and i've cut down to one or two cups a day.
so, taking a Keurig machine doesn't make sense, especially since we dry camp most of the time.
so i got me one of these, a Presto MyJo:
|snip|
just boil some water and you're good to go.
cost me around $12.
no electricity needed.
Thanks for posting that! It is the perfect backup to our single k-cup machine. The machine when we have electric or I've fired up the geny and now the MyJo for no electricity with both using the same K-cups. - mfox20ExplorerI use a full size Keurig.
Why someone asked? Even with my 4 six volt battery bank and a 2500 watt inverter, I can't get a regular coffee maker to finish the pot before it shuts off. There are just sometimes when dry camping I don't want to fire the genny up early for a cup or two.
the Keurig hits the battery bank hard for a very short burst and has no issues brewing several cups in a row.
If you are always plugged in or running the generator you can use any size you like. - ktmrfsExplorer II

I run mine on an inverter so I use the single cup hotel model, 700w
x2. you can get them on amazon. Nice thing is that they turn completely off after the brew is done, won't dispense if you forget to put the cup on the holder, etc. yes, it does take a little longer but it will run off a 1000W inverter nicely.
Other option we use quite often is an Areopress. french press, but without the mess of loose grounds when your done.
DW drinks tea, I drink coffee, so something that does only 1 cup at a time works well for us.
and I just use one of the make your own k cup systems with my favorite coffee when we use the keurig. - pappcamExplorer

Yep. Every food or drink has its snobs that deride all other kinds but theirs.
I use the K15 single cup model with no reservoir and I love it. - HammerboyExplorer

X2, I love mine and that is all that matters.
