Keurig K350 2.0 Coffee Maker

The 2.0 did not use the refillable cups. However, I just read that the new ones will. So check on the box. There is a hack out there that allows the 2.0 to use them. For that, check on YouTube.

Since most of our camping is OFF-ROAD I normally brew my coffee from the 2KW Generator. I am able to do this when we are connected to the generator re-charging our battery banks back up to their 90% charge state each morning.

I picked the CUISINART GRIND and BREW DBG-600BC Coffee maker. This brews up a 10-cup CARAFE in 5 or so minutes while running 120VAC from the generator. The coffee is brewed up into the thermos carafe and then completely shuts off not needing any additional power required.

We buy the same fresh coffee beans and brand of bottled water to insure the same coffee taste no matter where we are located.

With the grinding of fresh beans is utilized we can also grind the beans using a battery operated coffee grinder or low wattage 120VAC Coffee grinder from our Power Inverter setup and can pour hot water from the propane stovetop burner to drip our coffee in one of the COLEMAN 10-cup perculator coffee makers. Once the coffee is brewed we can pour it up into the thermos carafe. The coffee taste is surprisingly the same as being brewed in the Cuisinart coffee maker. A great PLAN B for making same taste coffee.

The beauty of both coffee making systems is they are NOT running an electric hotplate all day long to keep the coffee hot. Only requires the use of 120VAC power for about 5 minutes to make a pot of coffee...

Have never tried the KEURIG single cup method of making coffee... Have always thought of the coffee taste from one of those being a speciality taste which neither one of us would probably like. I do like the idea of a single cup at a time but wonder how that would work with my OFF-ROAD setup running from the battery banks. I probably would have to fire up my 2kw generator to make a single cup of coffee perhaps... Where we camp we seem to always be in a generator run time restriction area.

We really like our Keurig coffee maker, and the ease of making a single cup whenever we want one. After using it for over a year, and drinking at least a full pot each morning. we compared the cost of coffee. Then we got the Mr.Coffee back out and are making an entire pot, 4-5 big mugs, each day for the cost of just one medium Keurig cup. And we buy better coffee and it tastes better. Still save a LOT of money.

We have 3 different Kerig models...home, RV and office. All three take the refillable cups.
