A very biased opinion and one that only looks at the cost of things. One does not need to have everything new and do everything. Retirement is a time to slowdown and enjoy the important things in life. Start small and give it a try. Get off the expressway and explore side roads so many things to see and do that costs next to nothing. Many many people travel on less than $2000-$3000 a month and enjoy every moment. Not everyone needs all the junk people take with them. I have used tents, popups and large trailers and now have a converted 15 passenger van. I can go everywhere and stop about anywhere. I have heat,ac,water,tv,stove, refrigerator, my own bed and toilet and neighbors if I want them. I carry a small generator and a solar panel. North in the summer and south in the winter.
