I took a different route again, I got a Piaggio MP3.
Super easy to get on & off, extremely stable on unpaved or wet surfaces, best of all I can come to a stop and idle without even having to put a foot down, this also means I can park it without using a kickstand. A huge bonus on soft or uneven ground.
It's also got some pretty impressive storage capacity. I can put 4 bags of groceries inside.
