Laminate Floor S****ed.

Obviously something was under the slide, so now in our 8 day old camper i have a damaged laminate pane.

Will this be easily enough replaced, or am i better off getting a color match pen and just suck it up?

Already have to take the camper back for warranty work as it is.

  • Get used to repairs with a new rig. Make them fix it. I'm in the same boat on a few issues
  • We're traveling so the slides been in and out a few times since.
It definately happened at some point when the slide came in.

Doesn't hurt to have them look at it. Ive got to think somewhere along the line somerhing got under it.

    Sounds like its fixable.
  • I'd push for a proper repair under the warranty, but don't be shocked if they try to 'cheap out' on you.
  • It should be a warranty problem, 8 days and you have damage. This means something was not done right at the factory. It is going to keep on happening unless what ever it was fell out or was displaced. I can remember when slides first came out there were a lot carpet tears due to misalignment, screws being left under the slide, on and on.
  • Thank you, RV.net "integrated watchdog" (a/k/a NWE) for saving us once again from the word S-C-R-A-P-E-D.

Any idea what was under the slide? If it was because of the slide itself (a misplaced screw or something wrong with the roller), it whould be covered under warranty.

You want to fix whatever caused it.
