I have two lanterns a single burner stove and a double burner stove.
I don't see the danger inherent in them..Fire and flammable liquids are an essential part of our existence. As long as equipment is maintained and operated properly the danger level is totally acceptable.
For those saying the lanterns are too bright, you are aware that they do not need to be run at full throttle aren't you?
I have a shield for one of mine and someplace I have a red lens for one also.
Lehmans hardware has gas lighting for those that are interested.
