Last Post, DW has died

MY DW died 3 weeks ago, unexpected she was 66, not over weight, active, did not smoke or drink, probable heart attck

last 15 years, probably 25, MH 3K plus trips, four times to Europe, Long Vacations with grand daughter. took Amtrak to DC up to Boston flew home

I am sure with the time off work, and the travel cost was probably 250K

This is my message, had we not done any of that, I would be 250k richer but she would still be dead.

Take it for what it is worth, but you pay cash folks, wait to retire to do anything folks, works great until a black swan comes along. White swans you can plan for, not he black ones

I wish you all a long life and happy travels

so long

Ron

  • Am so sorry to hear this. But at least u guys travel the world and enjoy it. Am 51years old my parents are 78. My father is an ex political prisoner from cuba. We have been in the us for 43 years my father all he does is work and work. I wish he an my mother would travel. At least you enjoy your life with your wife. No regrets. Again am so sorry for your lost. But she is in a happier place looking down on you and taken care of you
  • Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone. Glad you had good times together and my condolences for your loss.
  • Sorry to hear. I agree. Never wait because you never know what the future holds. My wife’s mom died at 52! Had a heart attack after cutting the grass. She was never sick and healthy. The only downside was that she smoked. So my wife is going by that and trying to do everything we can. I may have some bills but we can say we have done more than most people!
  • So sorry for your loss Ron. Condolences to you and your family. Your words are so true to make every moment count.

    take care
  • My condolences to you. I keep preaching that to DH who is 75 and I am 64. Our world will continue to get smaller if we stop and wait on it and there will be a time when the "black swan" will appear. I am glad you got to enjoy your trips prior to the unexpected death of your spouse. Soo sorry!
