we use the prepackaged detergents too, along with dryer sheets.
If the campground has a bunch of machines, great, otherwise we go into town and find a laundramat. Load up a bunch of machines and go to lunch somewhere nearby. Somebody (me) gets to run back during desert and move clothes to dryer.
And then just like magic, DONE.
We do not ever sit in a laundramat and watch the machines work our clothes. If someone steals them, we get to buy new ones!
