Leaf spring add-on
I have a 2000 Silverado 1500 and I tow a travel trailer with a 5000 loaded weight and 600 pounds of tongue weight. The weight distribution hitch works well and is adjusted for an average load in the truck. It is level with this load.
Sometimes when we are on a 6 week plus trip we carry a bit more in the truck and the rear sags a little.
I think that the rear springs are a little tired after 16 years. I see there are some spring add-ons out there as an after market that will raise the rear end up 2" or so and add a little more carrying capacity.
Do any of you have experience with these springs?
