Leak of ammonia in refer
If the ammonia leaks out of the refer can the leak be repaired and the ammonia be replaced??

I replaced the entire cooling unit with a new Amish Built cooling unit. A new double door fridge is over $2000. I replaced the cooling unit myself in a day for under $1000 and it works better than the OEM version.
You pull the fridge out, tag all the wires, take pictures, take the old one off, clean the surfaces, install new one.

Depends if you plan on keeping it. I would worry that if you repair the old one, you might get another leak sooner than later.
