Leaving slide partially open?

Leaving for a week long trip to Rushmore tomorrow. My TT has 3 slides, two of them when closed restrict access to the fridge and rear of the rv.

Any problems opening both just a foot for some walk around space and leaving them overnight?

Driveway is sloped, but now that excitement has kicked full in, i want to start loading dry goods, have a beer and put the radio on....

Im always paranoid about slide durability...
  • In perfect weather and no mice around you would be fine. If it rains the only thing keeping out water would be the wiper seals that are only meant to clear excess moisture off the slides as they go in and out. An unexpected rain storm and you will be all wet. The wiper seals will not keep the rodents out either.

As easy as it is to push a button and run the slides in and out, I would just run them out.
  • Check around the edges. Mine will have big enough gaps for rodents and bugs to get in if I don't have it all the way in or out.
