Personal aircraft sales have gone from 2000 a year to 70 per year. I went through that phase, flying was great fun, reasonable, gave you a quick way to go somewhere. Could be. And, a few years back the FAA came up with a new class of license called "Sport Pilot" which is suppose to be easier to get and a little cheaper to start out. Maybe campgrounds should start some sort of family discount or something else to try and encourage more young families to go out camping?
