TT layout for young children
We purchased our first TT last year, a used Keystone 176BH. Our son was a few months old and slept in a pack n play in the dinette but we felt we were always tip toeing around in the dark after he went to sleep.
Now that he is almost 1, he sleeps in the lower bunk with a baby gate. The water heater and pump are located under the bunk. The toilet and sink share a wall with his bunk. We can’t use the bathroom without him stirring and certainly can’t turn on lights or the TV. He’s holding us hostage while he sleeps!
Now we are looking at larger bunkhouse TTs. The majority of the models we find have a separate master BR but the bunks open to the living area and the bathroom next to the bunks. I guess we could close ourselves in the BR while our sleeping toddler enjoys the kitchen and living area. How does that make any sense?
We are struggling to find a TT under 30’ in total length with a closed off bunk room and bathroom that’s separate from the bunks. We looked at toy haulers but there are few models under 30’ with a separate garage. Same deal with bunkhouse TTs.
Am I the only one who has this problem? What models are out there that may solve it? We are looking for something used, under $30k and 30’ long or less.
