I normally run two properly displayed flags. My US Flag and my US Army flag (nearly 30 years of proud service so far). While I will eventually get the taller poles for my rigs ladder, we attach them to each side of my awning on standard house wall mounting poles. I understand each set of folks have thier perferences, but I doubt I'll ever fly anything except my officially recognized (and properly display) pride.
