Nope...Used a little common sense. YMMV. Just did it one time, when first got our 5'r. Then calibrated our auto level system to that position. Now I just hit the button and don't need to worry.
Before I had this 5'r with the the auto level system, I had a pinbox level, that was set up according to the same method. Then I just held the buttons, until the pin box level was showing proper level. Consistently thick and round pancakes, and eggs that stayed in one place in the pan.
