Went to Lowes, grabbed a PT 2X10, went to the back, had them cut it into 8, 12 inch pieces. Total cost was something like $9. Cutting was free.
As suggested by others, this^^. The plastic legos are honeycomb and don't present a solid surface to the ground. When I used them with our previous rig, I always put a piece of 3/4" exterior plywood under them to prevent the legos sinking into soft soil. With our new rig (hydraulic auto-leveling) I use the 12" pieces of pressure treated 2x10. They last several years and are really cheap to replace (biodegradable, too!).
