Lighest Truck As A TOAD

Considering a small truck as a TOAD...would like the bed as additional storage...truck doesn't need to be brand new...an older truck line that has a good reputation will be fine...what is the approximate cost for setting up a vehicle to be towed. I will be towing with a 2000 Winnebago Minnie Winnie. THANKS!!!

  • No older (1980s) rear wheel drive small truck like a Datsun/Nissan, Mazda or Ford Courier is going to be flat towable without a driveshaft disconnect. Anything newer is going to weigh close to 4000 lbs.
  • THANKS sch911...a light truck is EXACTLY what I'm looking for...something to have with me to "get around" and not have to go in the Winnie...initially I was thinking of an older Datsun truck...something along that line would be perfect for my needs...
  • Be sure to first understand the towing capacity of your "C". You may be facing a limit of about 4K on your hitch and your GCWR rating. This will rule out all but the smallest sub compact pick up trucks...
