Lincoln mkx 2016

The owners manual for the 2016 lincoln MKX states that the vehicle can be flat towed four down. IT CAN NOT BE TOWED. 8 days with the dealer and Lincoln tech support finally determined any 2016 MKX is not towable. The dealer refunded all the costs and took the car back after the regional rep told us no tow. The manual is wrong. Thank you to Norm Reeves Lincoln for being so professional.

    So Ford doesn't have a towable now?
    Lots of people happy with the 15s but they are V6s.

    With the 2015 MKX only the 3/7L FWD/AWD could be towed 4 down not the 2.7L

    So they must of changed the transmission on the 2016 model.
    But they call it the same name. 6-Speed SelectShift® automatic transmission with paddle activation

    Good to know. I recently made a suggestion to a friend to look into a '16 MKX as a possible tow'd.

    Any specific reason sited for it NOT being 4-down towable?
