If the RF signal alone was all it took to unlock it, your cell phone would be unlocking cars all over the parking lot. Each vehicle does not operate on a unique frequency, there aren't nearly enough to go around. As said, your truck may be old enough to not have the modern more secure rolling code technology. Some of the older aftermarket remote lock kits are also not very secure and easily defeated.
