Locking my CRV while it's being towed

I hit the lock from the passenger door, since it won't stay locked when using the driver's door.

If I leave the key in position overnight, the battery goes dead. While I don't always unhook the toad, I do take the key out and lock the door.

Just never saw the need to lock while towing.
We do lock and unplug when stopping for the night.

Mine came with a valet key, which I use while towing. I then use the regular key to manually lock the doors - CCW to lcok, CW to unlock. The remote fob won't work with a key in the ignition.

When you are parked or camped you can always lock your vehicle, since the key does not have to be in the ignition.

I don't have a CRV, but when I tow my vehicle it must remain unlocked or the alarm will go off.

Also if you have to disconnect the CRV in a hurry it is better to have an unlocked door. JMO

I too cant lock my door if the key is in the ignition. Havent tried locking the door with a second key in the door - maybe that works...
